Thanks for checking out my first Inventor guest blog, this is a “Quick Tip”, I hope you find it useful.
Inventor users might find it difficult to locate specific commands which seem hidden away under drop downs, or expanded menus.
For instance the “Move Bodies” and “Bend” commands, are tucked away under the “Modify” panel in the parts environment.
Clicking on the little down arrow next to “Modify,” (see green arrow above) the expanded menu can be shown, and the commands are revealed.
This is great for occasional use, but sometimes a command, for eg “Bend” might be used more often, and in which case, you may wish to add it to the ribbon.
To do this, simply click the down arrow, then right click on the command and select “Move to Main Panel”
The Command(s) will now show on the main ribbon.
Similarly, you can move a command from the ribbon to an expanded menu, by right clicking on it and selecting “Move to Expanded Panel”.
