Well, just about! I was asked if I could help make a part for a 1980 model Toyota Hilux Pickup (very similar to Marty’s in Back to the Future). The part in question is a small air vent coupler that sits under the dashboard. The original truck only has a right-hand side version; the left-hand side had disintegrated over its 45-year life. Lukily we had one to use as a reference!

Armed with my trusty Mitutoyo Series 505 Vernier, I started measuring and modeling in Autodesk Fusion.
Then off to my trusty 3D printer
