And that’s a wrap. Another AU under the belt. I had such a good time catching up with customers, friends and colleagues from around the world. This year was my 10th, which in itself is mind blowing. I didn’t present a class this year, which meant I had a lot more time to enjoy AU.
My favorite classes are the “Crystal Ball” or roadmap sessions. This year was extra special as Inventor turned 20! There were some great announcements including a public roadmap for the first time ever! And I was fortunate enough to get my hands on some staggering cool Inventor swag.
One of the plethora of highlights for me was the Blogger social which Shaan Hurley puts on each year… Check out the video in his post, there’s a virtual me eating pizza.
Below are a few of my favorites from AU2019, they are in no particular order:
BAM’s 3d concrete printer.VW USA and Autodesk’s collaboration on the EV van, with loads of Generative Design, its a thing of beauty up close. This is a 3d print of the Claudius Peters component that Mikey Wakefield worked on, I liked the FEA plot on the piece.Virgin Hyperloop.Keynote Lasers.Lattices coming to Fusion 360.Biblical rain in Vegas.I got to meet the Boston Dynamics Spot.We chilled with the therapy dogs.Saw some sights.Got the team photo up on the big screen.Enjoyed a beverage or 2!Here’s to doing it all again at AU London 2020.
